Local attorneys Tom Adrian and Marilyn Wilder attended the American Health Lawyers Association Annual Meeting in New York, New York June 30 to July 2. The event held each year provides continuing education opportunities on a variety of topics in the area of healthcare law. Attorneys from Adrian & Pankratz, P.A. have been attending this event each year for well over fifteen years. The attorneys attended sessions on new developments in business relationships among healthcare providers, medical staff issues, physician compensation and many others. Speakers included nationally-known experts in the field, as well as government regulators and speakers made themselves available for informal question and answer periods after sessions.
The American Health Lawyers Association is the largest educational organization devoted to legal issues in the health industry, according to the group’s website. The group has a membership of over 12,500 including attorneys in private practice, in-house counsel for healthcare institutions and government attorneys.
